MSSA 22nd Annual General Meeting 2026: Celebrating Scientific Excellence and Lifelong Contribution

The Malaysian Senior Scientists Association (MSSA) successfully convened its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026, bringing together distinguished senior scientists, researchers, academicians, and professionals from across Malaysia for a day of governance, fellowship, and scientific enrichment.

The AGM reaffirmed MSSA's commitment to promoting the continued contribution of Malaysia's retired and senior scientific community towards national development, mentoring future generations, and advancing science for society.

            A major highlight of this year's AGM was the special lecture entitled:

            Optimising Our Brain Health

            The session was delivered by:

            Professor Dr. Kim Kah Hwi
            MD, MSc, PhD (Neurophysiology)

            Professor Dr. Kim shared valuable insights into maintaining cognitive health throughout the ageing process, discussing the latest scientific understanding of brain function, neuroplasticity, preventive healthcare, and practical lifestyle strategies that support healthy ageing.

            The lecture generated engaging discussions among attendees and reinforced the importance of lifelong learning, healthy living, and evidence-based approaches to ageing gracefully.

            Science Beyond Retirement

            One of the defining missions of MSSA is to demonstrate that retirement does not mark the end of scientific contribution.
